A little about Mabel...
Mabel is a 2 year old Cocker Spaniel, who loves to work her nose. To increase our bond and work her impressive brain, we embarked on a number of man trailing and Scent Detection courses. We found our passion with Scent Detection, as this is low impact for Mabel who has mild Hip Dysplasia. So, we qualified as Sniffer Dogs UK Instructor in May 2024
About Scent Training
Scent Detection has been known to resolve behaviour issues, particularly reactive, nervous and over stimulated dogs.
Vets and other pet professionals are also recommending puppies, elderly dogs and dogs with injuries/illness to our classes/courses as it is a low impact sport ideal for those who may be less active. As a pet dog owner there isn’t a dog that is excluded.
In general our UK Sniffer Dog classes are the most fun, the most rewarding for dog and owner and highly addictive, you have been warned!
WHO ARE THE CLASSES FOR?
Classes run for 6 weeks long and are 1 hour long.
WHAT YOU NEED :
- Red Kong – MUST BE RED DUE TO THE SCENT
- Favourite High Value reward – toy/food
- Lead, Harness, Flat collar.
- Suitable rest area – a mat
- Water and bowl – scenting is thirsty work!
- A dog with a nose.
In Series One we will be Teaching a Freeze Indication, and Introducing the Dogs to Line Up Searches, on Pots & Pipes, and Searches on Chairs or Tables
We aim to give owners the skills to train & take part in Scent Training Activities with their dogs, just like the Working “Sniffer Dogs”!
Please note – All classes run for 6 weeks and are 1 hour long. I am able to schedule 1:1 sessions if you feel this would be more beneficial to the you as owners and dog.
Workshops, Trials and Competitions are also running throughout the year as per the progression of your dog.

To improve dog’s lives through nose work. By applying our knowledge as scent instructors, we have developed a program that will enable owners to give their dogs positive scent experiences, not only teaching them to work and play with scent, but using scent to rectify problems in pet dogs when it comes to behaviour.
